The PARCC standardized assessment has been replaced with the NJSLA (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment) for the 2018-2019 school year. The NJSLA will measure both ELA and Math, as the PARCC did. Beyond this similarity, very little has been released from the NJDOE regarding what the NJSLA assessment will encompass beyond aligning to the NJSLA standards in ELA and Math by grade level.
There will be shifts to the amount of time students will be tested, and the number of assessments. The changes are below:
