    The Tabernacle School District would like to inform you that through our current software licensing with Microsoft we are able to provide Microsoft Office to every student and staff member free of charge! With Office 365, your child will now have access to the latest version of Word, for writing; Excel, for spreadsheets; PowerPoint, for presentations; OneNote, for organization and note taking; and much more. 


    • Install on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 tablets (including iPad!)
    • Access to Minecraft: Education Edition
    • Use with OneDrive for automatic device syncing
    • Gain valuable skills on the world’s most popular productivity software
    • Office subscription lasts for as long as your child is a student at TSD and the Microsoft program continues 

    Instruct your child to follow these simple steps to get Office:

    Students will need their TSD credentials (username@tabschools.org) to sign in.


    1.    Students

     a.   Visit our login portal for students

     b.   Login using your TSD credentials

     c. Look for the install Office button and click "Office 365 Apps"

    Future downloads can be initiated by logging into the Office 365 portal at https://www.office.com/


    Please Note: Students will continue to use Google Workspace for Education for all school related assignments. Office365 is purely for home and personal use. The Tabernacle School District is not responsible for supporting or troubleshooting issues with personal devices.     Office 365 is available and being upgraded

    Being a student or staff member at Tabernacle School District comes with many exciting benefits such as free access to Microsoft Office. Our Enterprise licensing agreement includes the ability for staff and students to install the latest Microsoft Office software on up to five personally owned computers at no cost.  


    What is new in Office 2019?

    There are a number of new features, but a few notable enhancements are as follows:


    • Scalable Vector Graphics for Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Translator in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Create Math Equations with LaTeX equation in Word
    • Create smoother animations and movements with Morph in PowerPoint
    • New navigation feature called Zoom for PowerPoint
    • Exciting new functions in Excel
    • More powerful Inking functionality for all of Office 2019

    Can I install Office on my TSD issued computer?

    No.  All students and staff will continue to use Google Workspace for Education as their primary educational software suite.  At this time, Office should only be installed on your personally owned computer.  


    Can I install Office on my Personal computer?

    Yes.  Installing Office on your personally owned computer is quick and easy.  If you have already installed Office 2013 or 2016, you will be prompted to upgrade.  Simply click “Update Office” to install the latest version of Office.  If you have not already installed MS Office, please follow the instructions here: Installing Office using Office 365 for business.


    Where do I get help

    There are a number of online reference guides for the new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.  These reference guides can be downloaded as a PDF or viewed in Sway.
