TES Fun Nights
  Sustainable Jersey
Congratulations!  We are pleased to inform you that Tabernacle Elementary School (Burlington) has been awarded bronze level certification by Sustainable Jersey for Schools!

 TES Award
I am happy to share with you that TES is one of ten schools in NJ to be the recipients of a $10,000 grant funded by NJEA through Sustainable Jersey for Schools. I truly believe that sustainability is not just an action but a way of life. Ronald Reagan once said, "There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit."

I truly believe that our initiative epitomized the late President's words. This was truly a team effort with many great educators, such as Caryn Smith, Jane Francis, community members, such as Gail Corey, and most importantly students working together to make Tabernacle Elementary School more sustainable and aware of their important part of taking care of their community.

The money from this grant will go towards funding water bottle refilling stations, compost maker, rain barrels, pollinated garden in the courtyard, and student gardening equipment.

If your child is taking the bus home from school, be present. An adult or responsible sibling must be visible before students in kindergarten through Grade 4 will be permitted to exit the bus at any time. If no one is visible, the student will be returned to school and the parent will be required to provide transportation as soon as possible.

TES Pajama & Book Collection

From February 1st through March 31st, the Tabernacle School District will be collecting new pajamas or books. The pajamas and books collected will be donated to the WIC Center at the Burlington County Health Department. Click here for more information.

Brick Order

Your brick will forever be embedded in our garden walkway to not only represent your family, but to help us reach the end goal we are striving for…an outdoor learning experience!

Ronald McDonald House Coin Drive

From February 6th through April 6th, the Tabernacle Elementary School will be collecting coins to support families of sick children who travel long distances to receive medical care and stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Camden.

Ronald McDonald House Grade Level Collections

During the months of February & March, the staff and students of the Tabernacle Elementary School will be collecting items for the Ronald McDonald House in Camden.

We are very excited to tell you about a very special program we are coordinating at our school in conjunction with Crayola. It’s called Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing new program devised to turn used markers into energy! Click here for more information about how this program works!
